Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Dr. Ge Shaozhong on copper-catalyzed asymmetric transformation under a project on Copper-Catalyzed Enantioselective Synthesis of Chiral N-Heteroaromatic Compounds (WBS R-143-000-A93-112).

The main responsibilities of the position include to identify selective copper catalysts for synthesis of N-heteroaromatic compounds and to conduct mechanistic studies to understand copper-catalyzed hydroalkylation of heteroaryl compounds.

Qualifications

• Qualifications / Discipline: PhD in organic synthesis or organometallic chemistry
• Skills: NMR, HPLC, GC, GC-MS analysis; Schlenk techniques
• Experience: Minimum four years’ research experiences
