The Role

Maynooth University is committed to a strategy in which the primary University goals of excellent research and scholarship and outstanding education are interlinked and equally valued. We are seeking a .NET software developer to develop a digital STEM-Passport, funded through an SFI Discover funding grant. The concept of a passport has been used in health, employment, and education settings. These passports are primarily aimed to, improve communication channels between individuals and different entities, facilitate transitions within and between sectors and improve access to quality services. In health, passports have been used to manage diabetes, and intellectual disability services. Whereas in education the passport concept has been adopted to support effective communication between education and home, and to support education transitions. In this project we aim to utilize and extend the passport concept to support STEM-preparation, STEM-Pathways and to develop STEM-profiles for users which can be used to understand the factors which support STEM aspirations.
