Applications are invited for the Post of Research Assistant (RA) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Government of India funded research project in the scientific field of Bioinformatics/Systems Biology in the School of Bio-sciences and Technology (SBST) Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT),Tamil Nadu
Title of the Project
“ Bioinformatics and Molecular Approaches to Characterize the Mechanism of Multidrug Resistance in Salmonella typhi recovered from Children (< 15 years) with Typhoid at a Paediatric Speciality Teaching Hospital”

Qualification
Essential: M.Tech / M.Sc / MS in Bioinformatics / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Bio-chemistry / Life sciences with good academic record
Desirable: Candidate should have working experience in the field of gene/protein networks (Systems Biology) & molecular simulations and present evidence in the form of publications in peer reviewed journals of repute.
Stipend: Rs.31,000/- month (consolidated)
Sponsoring Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Duration: 3 years.
