The University of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2017-2021 will apply to a successful candidate’s employment at the University. The University recently temporarily varied its Enterprise Agreement. Please be advised that the salary range, along with other conditions associated with this position, may change in accordance with the variation to the Enterprise Agreement.

3 year fixed-term contract available with possibility to be made continuing 

The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Veterinary Technology with experience in undergraduate learning and teaching. The appointee will provide teaching and course coordination across multiple courses including internal clinical placement within the Veterinary Technology program. The role will include course development in the case of new courses, along with the introduction of innovative approaches to teaching at all undergraduate levels.

To be successful you will need:

  • An undergraduate degree in Veterinary Technology, Veterinary Science or equivalent.
  • Strong familiarity through work experience in the practice of veterinary technology, veterinary nursing or veterinary science including at least three years of clinical or practical experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in the veterinary and allied professions.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the delivery and assessment of courses in an undergraduate program in Veterinary Technology.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of teaching and research teams.

The School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences provides world-class, outcome-based education and training of animal and veterinary scientists in a research environment.

Based at the Roseworthy Campus, 50km north of the Adelaide CBD and minutes from Gawler, the school is offering a new undergraduate program in Veterinary Technology with the first intake of students having commenced in 2020.
