The practice of interprofessional education acknowledges the numerous fields and specialists routinely involved in educating the whole person. Education can no longer be narrowly defined as knowledge transmission in a classroom by a teacher to a student. Learning is affected by many factors such as social policy, access to health care, etc. Today’s educators must be trained to work with a diverse array of professionals in cross-disciplinary teams and to think across specialism boundaries, in order to ensure excellent education, creative solutions to enduring issues, best and coordinated care, and comprehensive service provision. We are seeking professoriate faculty who can fulfill this goal.
Applications are invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Interprofessional Education and Learning (4 positions) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 503187), to commence on August 1, 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract. Exceptionally outstanding candidates at Professor/Associate Professor level may be considered for appointment on tenure terms subject to approval.

Applicants should have engaged with complex issues (such as multi-level service delivery and accessibility, education equity, policy and curriculum implementation) and research that addresses broad questions through interdisciplinary lenses. The Faculty of Education also focuses on professional learning across diverse contexts and the life span, developing interdisciplinary leaders who are able to imagine flexible solutions for a changing, uncertain world. Candidates with the capacity and experience to support these aims will be favourably considered.
