IT PROJECT MANAGER, MIT Medical, to lead the design, testing, planning, and implementation of moderately complex technical projects. The primary responsibility will be to work directly with MIT Medical leadership as well as various sub-project leaders to coordinate, drive, and track a variety of initiatives and/or projects that support the department’s strategic objectives by using established project management tools, philosophies, and methodologies.  Projects and initiatives span all service areas and often require close monitoring and frequent communication to see each to success.  The work will involve implementing small to large complex projects from conception, scope definition, and schedule management through to a project’s completion. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a bachelor’s degree; at least three years of project management or business analysis experience; experience managing software development projects and implementation, configuration, and customization of commercial and open source applications; strong working knowledge of and expertise with project management tools, methodologies, and processes; excellent listening, interpersonal, and written and formal communication skills; flexibility; initiative; a collaborative approach to problem solving; attention to detail; proven organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects/responsibilities simultaneously; diplomacy and ability to manage conflict resolution at all levels of an organization.  Seek a team player who enjoys coaching and developing others in project management techniques.  Must be able to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions; respond proactively to requests and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and reflect the stakeholder’s unique need; and work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment both onsite and via telecommuting.  Health care background preferred.
