Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (Ref.: D501977), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal, subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. 

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, genetics, computational biology or other relevant disciplines, with in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C/C++, JAVA and R. They should demonstrate evidence of international recognition and scholarship, and the capacity of high-quality impactful research indicated by a good track record of publications and external grants. Experience in analysing high-throughput data in viral genetics and immunity will be an advantage.  Preference will be given to those with expertise in bioinformatics and computational biology, and with strong interests in translational research.

The appointee will develop AI-based analytics for data generated from the Harvard Medical School's VirScan platform to evaluate the comprehensive antibody repertoire and decipher exposure histories of known and novel pathogens, and integrate the analytics to predict immune protection to delineate key epitopes for vaccine development. He/She will also contribute to the teaching and supervision of postgraduate research students.
