Job Description Summary

The Research Specialist C will carry out research on inherited retinal degenerations independently, with feedback from Jean Bennett. The individual designs, carries out, trouble shoots, interprets the data, and writes up the results. The individual will also assist with grants, progress reports, and manuscripts.

Job Description

Plans and conducts complex experiments to meet research project objectives. Performs laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material formulation and development. Oversee overall management of laboratory tool, documentations and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Closely collaborates with content experts to select assessment instruments. Adapt existing instruments and develop new instruments and with Principal Investigator (PI) on experimental/clinical work set ups in accordance to established protocols. Responsible for team performance management and reviews.

Design and carry out experiments independently; maintain general supplies for the lab; carry out trouble shooting on experiments; write sections of progress reports describing research results; analyze and interpret data; maintain records of experiments.

Position is contingent on funding

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience in research, clinical study, project and people management or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
