The Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences is unique in the breadth and strength of professional education and training that we deliver. We train and educate over twenty different professions and our long-standing reputation is evidenced in positive student feedback, and the excellent commendations we receive from health, education and social care accreditation bodies.

The School of Health Sciences, which provides high quality education to a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes that lead to registration in nursing, midwifery, health visiting/school nursing, paramedic science and speech and language therapy, is currently investing significantly in the clinical skills facilities on our Avery Hill campus to provide a modernised and expanded simulated practice environment.

We are seeking a professional individual with excellent technical and organisational skills and knowledge of audio-visual technology to provide efficient and effective support to enable the smooth running of the Faculty specialist teaching facilities, which include Clinical Skills and Simulation facilities for nursing, midwifery and paramedic students, as well as Science/DT laboratories for teacher education.

You will be responsible for assisting with the provision of day to day technical and IT support for the Clinical Skills and Patient Simulation facilities, as well as general support across other provision. This includes set up and preparation of equipment and consumables in advance of teaching sessions, moving and handling, routine maintenance and routine ordering and stock control.

Previous experience of providing technical support in a customer service environment is essential.  Knowledge of simulated environments and/or experience gained in the Education or Health sector would be a distinct advantage.
