Research Associate in Inorganic Chemistry
Applications are invited for a fixed-term position with Dr David Pugh in the Department of Chemistry, King’s College London. The research is directed towards the activation of small molecules, in particular dinitrogen, using a bimetallic scaffold based on cryptand-style ligands.
You should have a PhD in synthetic chemistry, ideally with extensive experience of handling air-sensitive materials using Schlenk and glove box techniques. Experience of carrying out DFT calculations on transition metal-based systems will be advantageous. You should also have excellent communication skills, and experience of writing up research results for publication.
For informal enquiries please contact Dr David Pugh, firstname.lastname@example.org. The post is available immediately, and candidates who can start sooner will be at an advantage.
