Job Description The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is a research centre of excellence at the National University of Singapore doing cutting-edge theoretical and experimental science. CQT is working on satellite-based quantum communications and has an open position for a Research Rellow to support development efforts of a space-based quantum light source.
The quantum light source will produce polarisation-entangled photons and will be compatible with nano-satellite systems. This light source will be used for in-orbit demonstrations of satellite-based quantum communications.
The successful candidate will participate in the assembly, integration and testing of the light source in relevant environments, and take part in the iterative design and refinement of the light source design.
- Successfully completed a PhD training program with awarded PhD in Physics
- Experience with design and assembly of space-based quantum optics
- Able to work independently and multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team and multi-task
Remuneration will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Duration of Contract: up to 1 year (subject to funding availability and performance appraisal)
