Job description

The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis and their industry applications under a project, “MOE Tier II Project R143-000-B32-112: Large-Scale Epitaxial Growth of High Quality 2D Blue Phosphorene Films”.

The project focuses on low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis and their industry applications. The selected candidate will work together with a team comprising experts in materials development, device fabrication and characterization, and reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.

The candidate should have recently obtained PhD in Chemistry or Physics in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute, and published at least 3-5 first-authored papers on Tier I journals.

The candidate is expected to have excellent English writing and communication skills, team management skills (help PI to lead a small research team with 2-3 PhD students), expertise in low-dimensional nanomaterials synthesis, structural characterizations using TEM/SEM/AFM/XRD/UV-Vis/GC-MS, surface science techniques of XPS/UPS, NAP-XPS, and industry applications of these nanomaterials.
