EDITORIAL DIRECTOR OF EVENTS, MIT Technology Review (TR), to ensure that TR’s events reflect the quality, content, and ambition of its editorial coverage. Will report directly to the editor-in-chief and occupy a high-level strategic and bridging role, being a senior member of editorial but working closely with the events team. Will lead in the conception, planning, programming, and messaging of events as well as hosting and moderating at them. Will not be responsible for event logistics or booking speakers, but will use expertise and network to help source and attract prominent speakers and act as one of the most prominent editorial faces on stage, as emcee, anchor or moderator. The person in this role will do for an event what a features editor would do for an in-depth feature article, making sure that each one is a compelling, coherent, and rewarding storytelling experience, well presented and correctly pitched at its target audience.
A full job description is available in the "work with us" section of the TR websit at https://www.technologyreview.com/about/.
