Fixed Term (Maternity Cover): Up to one year, depending on commencement date

The University has an exciting opportunity for an Admissions Team Leader (Maternity Leave) to join our Marketing and Student Recruitment team.  In this busy role the successful candidate will be experienced, enthusiastic, have excellent leadership skills and a target driven approach as part of our successful Admissions team.

The Admissions Team Leader will assist the Admissions Lead in overseeing the admissions operation at UWS managing the weekly workflows of the team by processing applications made to the University for all modes and levels of study from UK, EU and International applicants. The post holder will ensure that the team process applications based on the University’s and relevant regulatory requirements in a timely manner - adhering to UWS turnaround times and importantly, towards satisfying the University strategic objectives.  The post holder will also provide guidance and advice to colleagues in our four academic schools as required and work with key external stakeholders such as UCAS, SQA and college partners. 

In addition, this role will manage and motivate a team of Admissions Co-ordinators responsible for the operational delivery of the admissions function in the University. 

Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience, you will have experience of working in an admissions environment very much focused on providing excellent customer service and be target driven. In addition, you will have management experience, experience of dealing with conflicting priorities and provide a high quality of service to enhance the applicant experience. 

You will work remotely whilst the Covid-19 situation necessitates working from home, but your primary location will be our Paisley Campus.
