Research Fellow in Experimental Quantum Optics
The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is a research centre of excellence at the National University of Singapore doing cutting-edge theoretical and experimental science. CQT is located on the campus of the National University of Singapore and offers a friendly, international work environment. Learn more about CQT at www.quantumlah.org.
An experimental post-doctoral researcher is sought to work at the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT, National University of Singapore).
The successful candidate will work within an international consortium collaborating on a project hosted between CQT, the University of Oxford Dept. of Physics and the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). At CQT, the successful candidate will work with Dr Tristan Farrow and Manas Mukherjee.
The project has two aims: (i) to measure non-linear effects such as two-photon excitation/emission in low-dimensional condensed matter systems (ii) to generate single-photons from semiconductor quantum dots with a view to hybrid entanglement.
- Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in Physics
- Able to work independently and multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work in a team and multi-task
- Optical microcavity characterisation, numerical simulations of optical structures will be beneficial
Remuneration will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Duration of Contract: up to 1 year (subject to funding availability and performance appraisal)
Interested applicants are invited to send a covering letter specifying their research interests and experience, their latest Curriculum Vitae (including complete list of publications/ presentations) and contacts of three references to email@example.com
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
