The City Launch Lab is City’s award winning co-working and incubation space for Startups. Situated in the heart of Tech City, between the two main campuses, The Business School (formerly Cass) and Northampton Square the Launch Lab provides up to 40 desk spaces, a large integrated event space and three dedicated meeting rooms. As well as providing space and facilities the Launch Lab runs a 3-month Launch programme, providing coaching, mentoring and support for startups to develop and succeed.

Responsibilities
The Startup Incubator Manager leads on managing all operations, projects and strategy relating to the space and the Launch Lab community. The post holder is responsible for leading City Startup development and designing programmes that inspire and enable early stage startups.

The post holder will also lead on programme and community development ensuring that the City Launch Lab provides a fun and productive space that nurtures businesses and their staff to grow and scale.

Person Specification

  • Experience and knowledge of the startup environment and enterprise/ entrepreneurship education
  • A keen problem solver able to deliver excellent customer/ community service
  • Creative and innovative in their approach to project management and delivery
  • Proactive, driven and able to take the initiative to make things happen
  • An effective communicator who can deliver content (written, in person, present) with confidence
  • Has a good eye for detail and is able to interpret data to make decisions
