Job Description

The position is opened for an antenna researcher with experiences in antenna design, meta-surface and EM simulators such as CST, FECO or HFSS, impedance matching, and measurement of antennas in terms of impedance, gain, and radiation patterns. The project is from industry with requirement of deliverables on schedule. Basically the researcher is asked to survey on the state-of-the-art solutions for millimeter-wave devices and propose new ways to apply met surfaces in enhancing the performance of antennas in complex environments. The outcomes include new solutions to design with specifications, patents and publications at prestehius journals. 

Qualifications

  • Possess a PhD in Electrical Engineering. 
  • The candidates have worked on microwave antenna design at least during his/her PhD study or research into microwave antennas for 5 years. 
  • The candidate has worked on meta-surface-based antennas and has published at least two papers in IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation. 
  • Must be able to use CST and HFSS to simulate antennas. 
  • Must be able to fabricate and measure antennas independently. 
  • Possess good written and spoken communication. 
  • Experience in drafting patents.  
  • Able to adhere and meet tight project timelines. 
  • Open to fixed-term contract.
