Job Description
The Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions and the Department of Biological Sciences at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invite application for the post of Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the Start-Up funding. The position is expected to begin on 1 February 2021 for an initial period of one year, conditional on the submission of PhD thesis. The successful candidate will work with Prof Koh Lian Pin.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Lead impactful research
- Mentor the Centre’s junior researchers
- Contribute to the Centre’s grant development and management
Qualifications
Qualifications / Discipline:
- PhD in Ecology and Environmental Science
Skills:
- Highly organized and proactive
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Knowledge in and ability to handle large databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills in GIS or remote sensing
- Strong quantitative skills in R or similar
Experience:
- Research experience in tropical ecosystems
- Experience in managing international projects and collaborations
- Experience in leading research workshops and seminars
- Experience in mentoring junior research staff
