This is a post to work on the measurement of novel superfluid optomechanical devices at low temperature. The post involves the development of experimental tools to build quantum analog systems of black holes to mimic the dynamics of fields in time-dependent spacetimes to study some of the most ill-understood processes in our Universe. The post holder will work in a newly formed interdisciplinary consortium uniting the quantum technology and fundamental physics communities, called Quantum Simulator for Fundamental Physics ( The consortium is an interactive network of scientists from seven UK-based research organisations located in St. Andrews, Cambridge, King's College London, Newcastle, Nottingham, University College London and Royal Holloway University of London.
