Apply your strategic thinking and leadership skills to improve student transition and retention at CDU
We are a new world university. Like our namesake, Charles Darwin we think differently. We innovate, embrace change, challenge conventions and look for better ways. We’re not about tradition or legacy, privilege or exclusivity. We care about people as individuals, and about our wider society. We’re about what we can give to the world, rather than what we take. We cannot build a new world without diversity of thought, so we bring together people with unique perspectives in an inclusive and supporting learning environment to help them connect, discover and grow. This is the CDU difference.
Implementation of a successful change in 2020 brought VET and HE teams together to better support students. It’s a great time to join the dynamic Student and Engagement Success team at CDU, working to improve the student experience, contribute to student growth (through acquisition and retention strategies) and support education and training innovation.
Leading a new Transition and Retention team as Manager Transition and Retention, you will provide strategic advice and support for retention improvement, academic progression, student onboarding and orientation, student mentoring and equity-based transition programs. Using data and analytics you’ll deliver evidence-based targeted strategies to ensure the University is positioned to meet the changing needs of its target markets and achieve student growth by retaining students.
To be successful you require a relevant postgraduate qualification and/or extensive experience in a managerial role, alongside contemporary knowledge of research and practices in the field of transition and retention, widening participation and the application of this knowledge in a VET or HE educational context. Your high-level communication and stakeholder management skills will allow you to influence cultural and procedural change and lead teams to successful outcomes.
