Within this context, the Social Work subject delivers strong social work provision at undergraduate, post-graduate, and post-qualifying levels. Our BA(Hons) Social Work, has been listed amongst the 20 Best UK Universities for Social Work courses in the Guardian League Tables since 2018 and amongst the top 10 in 2018 and 2019. Through its link with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust our qualifying MA Social Work course, the only of its kind in the UK, promotes increasingly relevant relationship-based approaches. 

The Department of Social Work and Social Sciences is seeking to recruit passionate academic staff for the above post to contribute to the development of current practice within the subject area. Educated to degree level, you will have up-to-date knowledge of current professional and academic developments in the field of Social Work. Teaching experience is essential, as is a profile of research and publication in Social Work or related disciplines. We are committed to expanding our research profile and continually developing provision that reflects the multidisciplinary nature and diversity of our stakeholders. An enthusiasm to embrace change, work as part of the innovative team and become involved in the growing research profile of the school is essential. As a Faculty we also welcome candidates whose research work will resonate with current issues and has the potential for significant long-term academic and societal impact.

You will be joining a School and Faculty that is building a strong interdisciplinary and cross-professional approach to addressing current and emergent challenges facing society.
