012940 Graduate Demonstrator in Radiography & Diagnostic Imaging, UCD School of Medicine, Fixed Term Three year

Applications are invited for the temporary 3 year post of graduate demonstrator in Radiography and Diagnostic Imaging within the UCD School of Medicine. UCD Radiography & Diagnostic Imaging is the national centre for undergraduate Radiography education. A range of taught graduate courses are also offered. We have a well-developed research profile, with an excellent record of success for postgraduates at MSc and PhD level.

The successful applicant will add support to the teaching and learning on the undergraduate Radiography programme. The post will involve teaching and support of Radiography Practice and Technology on the undergraduate degree programme, responsibility for weekly clinical skills las, some aspects of teaching and clinical assessment. The appointment is for three years initially. Applicants must hold a primary qualification in Radiography and have enthusiasm for teaching radiographic practice and technology and have an interest in research. The successful candidate will be expected to apply for CORU recognition. This post is ideal for graduate radiographers interested in an academic career and pursuit of PhD study.

The successful applicant will also contribute to teaching and learning and curriculum development of the undergraduate programme and to academic leadership in general. The University will particularly welcome applications from those who can best further the development and integration of the Radiography & Diagnostic Imaging Section of the School and foster collaboration with other disciplines and institutions nationally and internationally and demonstrate a willingness to establish the School as an international centre for excellence in research in Diagnostic Imaging. The role will involve the provision of undergraduate teaching and the provision of high quality scholarship.

Salary: €29,615 per annum
