Job Description

Research Specialist A: Under the supervision of the PI, the research specialist is expected to carry out the daily activities of the laboratory, which include a wide range of experimental techniques involving routine molecular biology, tissue histology and staining. The role of the specialist will be to assist research personnel in carrying out experiments.

The Research Specialist B will undertake the duties outlined for the Research Specialist A position, with the additional expectation that the candidate will work more independently and participate in developing novel solutions to research efforts. The candidate is expected to have greater laboratory research and mouse work experience that the grade A specialist. Depending on performance, skill level and interest, the grade B specialist may be asked to also undertake an independent research project.

Position is contingent on funding.

Qualifications:

Research Specialist A: Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Research Specialist B: Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
