Job Description

This position will serve as the main operational point of contact for translational research programs associated with the laboratories of Aimee Payne and Mike Milone.

The position will support translation of cell and gene therapy clinical trials and will interact accordingly with the translational research, regulatory, clinical and laboratory groups at UPenn to prepare FDA submissions and to develop new protocols from the Payne and Milone laboratories. As assigned, the candidate will assist in managing relationships between the Payne and Milone laboratories with other academic laboratories and biopharmaceutical companies, and will participate in the  management of intellectual property relationships in collaboration with the Penn Center for Innovation. Specifically, candidate will assist in all operational and technical issues relating to the research and translational activities engaged by Cabaletta Bio with the Milone and Payne labs, and ensure optimal communication across stakeholders.

The Associate Director will participate in facility and contractual issues and will participate in budget management, planning and reporting for
specific projects assigned to the position. Candidate will also perform technical studies in support of manufacturing and translational milestones associated with assigned projects.

This position is contingent on funding.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  A Master's Degree or PhD and 7 years to 10 years is strongly preferred. Laboratory experience essential, and proven administrative, scientific and management skills are required. or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
