Salary: $73,669 - $99,966 p.a. (Level A) or $105,233 - $124,958 p.a. (Level B), plus 9.5% superannuation. Level of appointment is subject to qualifications and experience.
Located at the Mercy Hospital for Women campus of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, this post-doctoral scientist will undertake research in the field of translational obstetric research. They will be part of a dynamic group conducting some exciting studies aimed at developing new diagnostics and treatments for major diseases of pregnancy. Several current projects involve developing treatments for preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction and diagnostics to prevent stillbirth.
This post-doctoral research scientist will demonstrate dynamic and active leadership in all facets of research, with a commitment to excellence in research and education. A commitment to education and training via contribution to teaching activities of students, and supervision of PhD and BSc (Honours) students may also be involved in the role. Administrative duties commensurate with the position will also be required and it is expected you will contribute to the collegial and intellectual life of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and to the Mercy Hospital for Women.
This position will report to Dr Fiona Brownfoot.
