- Level 10 Grade 3, full-time position, fixed term appointment for 3 years
- Salary range: $147,483 to $152,042 plus 17% superannuation

About the team
Development and Alumni Relations [DAR] oversees the University’s alumni, philanthropic and community strategies. The function works collaboratively across the University to embed philanthropic and engagement activity into the University’s operations. The core responsibilities of the team is to lead and build on the University’s alumni, donor and community relations to advance the University goals.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Advancement you will have a significant leadership role in overseeing the strategic design, development and implementation of quality services that supports both the Development and Alumni Relations office and wider University community in meeting its strategic objectives in relationship building and fundraising.
This role provides leadership in the provision of advancement services within higher education context, making an active contribution to increasing number of alumni and community engaged into the University and the amount of philanthropic monies raised by the University. The role leads through best practice processes and support while increasing the level of awareness and knowledge on the Office’s key stakeholders both internally and in the broader University community.
This role has four key areas of focus:
- Leadership and strategic direction
- Philanthropic environment
- Knowledge management
- Staff development and resource planning
With relevant tertiary qualifications (or demonstrated equivalent competency) and substantial management and leadership experience at an appropriate level, you will be highly skilled in influencing, negotiating and communicating at a senior level across large, complex organisations.
Using your significant experience in the higher education sector, you will have a track record of successfully developing and leading strategies and significant projects from conception through to completion; as well as significant knowledge of data and finance systems, legal frameworks and governance structures.
