Job Purpose

As Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for the educational delivery and quality assurance of Apprenticeship School Programmes. This will involve implementing high-quality coaching and assessment strategies whilst also adhering to IQA processes that validate the quality of induction, progress review delivery, written feedback and EPA support. The role will additionally be responsible for contributing to the design and educational delivery of programmes up to Level 5 and for Line Management of seven Programme Leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Coaching Quality

• Define the Schools Coaching approach and ensure it is effectively implemented by programme teams

Quality Assurance

• Implement internal quality assurance strategy to evaluate delivery, coaching, marking and EPA support
• Ensure Internal Quality Assurance staff conduct activity to the appropriate standard
• Ensure Management Observations are completed to the appropriate standard
• Drive Continuous Improvement across programme delivery, coaching and assessment activity
• Attend monthly feedback and data meetings owning programme and coaching improvement activity

Educational Delivery

• Set programme end point assessment (EPA) strategy and ensure implementation working in conjunction with Programme Leaders
• Set learner support strategy and embed a consistent Apprenticeship School support
• Collaborate with Head of Learning to create high quality structure, delivery and assessment of Programmes
• Act an Interim Programme Leader across disciplines in periods of Programme Leader absence
• Host Monthly Programme Leader Management Meetings to review performance and to address improvement areas

People Management and Development

• Forecast and manage resource requirements across programme disciplines to ensure high-quality delivery in line with agreed KPI's

Candidate Criteria

• Experience of leading teams and managing people
• Experience of resource planning and management
• Detailed understanding of apprenticeship programme delivery
• Experience of apprenticeship coaching and assessment (including supporting learners through end point assessment)
• Experience of quality assurance coaching and marking
• Experience of delivering high-quality coaching
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Strong communications skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
• Experience of KPI Management and data analysis
• Experience of client management (including presentation skills)

Desirable

• Appropriate Coaching Qualification
