Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Family Medicine invites applications for a part-time academic appointment (0.2 FTE). This Family Medicine physician-educator will augment the key didactic and advising day of Mondays in our clerkship when M3 clerkship students are involved. The educator role involves didactic teaching, curriculum design, observation and evaluation of student interviews with live or standardized patients, direct student advising, planning and overall clerkship review.  We especially welcome applicants with a master’s degree or fellowship training, practice experience in a federally qualified health center or similar underserved population, and community outreach activities.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate, DO or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board certified in Family Medicine.  Selection will consider relevant clinical, educational and administrative experience.
