About the role

With an option for either a Lismore or Gold Coast location, we have an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer to join Southern Cross University. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for working as part of a small team to process the University’s payroll. The appointee will be the first point of contact for staff, responding to and resolving questions and enquiries regarding payroll matters.

The Payroll Officer will also provide administrative support for operations and projects with a focus on excellence in process, judgement and provision of sound and timely advice and support to internal and external stakeholders.

The remuneration package for this position is up to $94,351 per annum (inclusive of base salary $72,472-$80,642 per annum and 17% employer's contribution to superannuation).

This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate can nominate a Gold Coast or Lismore location.

About you

We are seeking applications from individuals with specialist payroll experience within a large organisation and who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in service delivery and willing to go above and beyond when providing services to our staff.

You will have a proven ability to apply industrial awards and legislation relevant to payroll with outstanding attention to detail. You will have a solutions-based approach and ability to drive continuous improvement processes.

Experience with Aurion HRIS is desirable, but not essential.
