Role Description

The Library Service is developing a new approach to supporting learners, researchers and academic staff and you will help us to shape the team responsible for support for taught programmes. You will manage and lead a team of Information Specialists across the Library Service on both the Cranfield campus and the Shrivenham site.

You will be responsible for the provision of customer focused services through the management of the Information Specialist team, with responsibility for the development and maintenance of effective liaison relationships, the provision of innovative and effective plans for Information Literacy teaching and a proactive enquiry service.

As our ideal candidate you will have a degree or equivalent experience in higher education libraries, along with membership of Advance HE or an appropriate qualification (or be committed to working towards this). You will have experience of leading and engaging a team, and of building positive working relationships with both colleagues and customers to ensure the Library Service can deliver the best service possible.

As the UK’s only exclusively postgraduate university, Cranfield’s world-class expertise, large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships is creating leaders in technology and management globally.  Our distinctive expertise is in our deep understanding of technology and management and how these work together to benefit the world.
