Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Emergency Medicine, seeks to appoint a full-time Emergency Medicine Medical Education Scholar who will work closely with administrations for both our EM Residency program and our medical clerkships to gain experience in 1) teaching methodologies and evaluation, 2) curriculum design and assessment, 3) scholarship in medical education, and 4) medical school clerkship and residency program administration approximately half-time while working clinically as an attending in our emergency department in the balance of time.  We especially welcome applicants with an interest in medical education, and who have an interest in becoming a Residency Program Director or a related educational leadership role.  Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent on qualifications.  The University of Chicago Medicine is an Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, a receiving hospital for STEMI, a Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Burn Center, and a Chicago South EMS regional resource hospital.
