Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Pediatric Surgery, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank who will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Pediatric Surgery. The appointee will provide Surgical ECMO leadership at our Advocate Children's Hospital Park Ridge location and will develop surgical critical care for children in the Northern region. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
The Section of Pediatric Surgery practices at Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago Medicine, Advocate Children's Hospital - Oak Lawn and Advocate Children's Hospital - Park Ridge.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Surgery in Pediatric Surgery, 4) have completed an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Surgery, and 5) be board certified or eligible in surgical critical care.
