Director of Strategic Planning and Insight

Sitting on the University Executive, the Director of Strategic Planning and Insight will lead, develop and manage the University’s strategic planning framework. The Director will undertake high profile, strategic work, engaging at the most senior levels in the University, and acting as a key interlocutor with Government. They will act as a strong unifying force to help ensure strategic planning, insights and performance measurement framework support the University to deliver across the breadth of aspiration in Strategy 2030.
The Director will be effective in operating in an environment of the scale and complexity of the University of Edinburgh, operate across the three Colleges and three Professional Services Groups, and develop and maintain relationships and trust of the Senior Leadership team and the University Executive. In addition, the role holder will be required to represent the University externally and ensure it is strongly represented and influential in matters of strategic importance.
