Job Description

Bioinformatics specialist, this position will report to Dr. Saar Gill. This individual will coordinate with the NGS sequencing Core to ensure timely analyses of bulk or single cell RNA-seq, or DNA sequencing libraries and retrieval of resulting data. One of the key responsibilities of this position will be implementation of NGS data analysis pipelines in the Gill laboratory selecting, adapting and utilizing appropriate software while working with vendors, bioinformatics cores and other resources. The hire will interface with laboratory members to provide bioinformatics support in the analysis of sequencing data, and figure and slide generation. This position may also assist with the analysis of molecular data from other advanced instrumentation, such as Nanostring’s GeoMx DSP, nCounter and flow cytometry.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
