Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Antimicrobial Resistance in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502945), to commence as soon as possible for one or two year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in biology, microbiology or related disciplines, with research experience in bacteriology, molecular biology and bioinformatics. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). They should be a good team player with passion and self-initiative in research. Research experience in microbiome, microbial genomics and antimicrobial resistance, and both wet- and dry-lab skills are highly preferred. The appointee will work on a new long-term, multi-phased, international epidemiological and laboratory research programme on the etiologies of antimicrobial resistance. He/She will assist in managing a bacteriological research laboratory, conduct experiments, collect clinical specimens, analyse data, write academic papers and grant proposals, and perform other tasks as assigned.
