Research Fellow, Mechanical Engineering
The research fellow will perform measurements on operating Li-ion batteries by time-domain thermoreflectance (TDTR). He/she will be in-charge of preparation of the Li-ion batteries, exposing the interal for the measurements and performing the measurements while Li-ion batteries are charging/discharging. He/she will also perform molecular dynamics and first-prinicples calculations of the thermal transport properties to understand the measurements.
PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering (or relevant fields) from a good university. Experience (at least 1 year) in time-domain thermoreflectance (TDTR) or frequency-domain thermoreflectance (FDTR). Experience (at least 2 years) in molecular dynamics and/or first-principles calculations of the thermal transport properties. Publications in high-impact journals to demonstrate his/her experience and expertise in the experimental and numerical techniques.
