Large scale simulation of the dispersion of the coral mucus in the presence of the convection stream of current. The candidate must be well versed in the SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) and LBM (Lattice Boltzmann Method) required for the simulation of the dispersion of the coral mucus in the presence of convection stream of current. The candidate must have possessed some non-Newtonian fluid mechanics background to be able to model the coral mucus showing thixotropy properties due to its entangled network of microstructures: at high shear rate, the mucus viscosity remains low; while at low shear rate, the mucus has enough time to recover its inner structure and its viscosity is higher. (Some experimental works may be required if need be to confirm the thixotropy properties of the mucus via operating the rheometer.)
