About the position

Reporting to the Provost, the newly created position of Assistant Provost will be responsible for the leadership, strategic development and management of the academic, engagement and administrative affairs for the Transformation CoLab which includes the University’s Core Curriculum and Transformation degrees.

The Bond University Transformation CoLab is an incubation hub for transdisciplinary ideas. It provides a virtual space that cultivates enduring partnerships between students, staff, industry, and the community. Furthermore, it provides infrastructure support for collaboration between Faculties and industry for the development of innovative transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary products and programs.

This position will be responsible for providing clear academic leadership in curriculum, resource, program and subject design and development to reflect best practice and for ensuring that internal quality assurance processes are established and maintained to achieve and maintain high standards in curriculum, pedagogy, course, and assessment.

About the person:

The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent, coupled with a strong record of academic achievement at the professorial level in their discipline. They will demonstrate qualities of an innovative and entrepreneurially minded leader and have excellent strategic and operational management capabilities to drive academic unit level objectives and performance across financial, human resources, academic management, decision making, administration, policy, projects, quality assurance and resourcing matters.

The ability to lead across a diverse range of transdisciplinary programs, and create, develop and sustain a team that fosters innovation and excellence while driving a student centric philosophy and approach to ensure an exceptional educational experience is essential for success in this role.

Remuneration for the appointment is negotiable and will be commensurate with skills and experience. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees.
