Research Assistant

Job Description

A research assistant position is available in the Department of Chemistry at the National University of Singapore. The project will involve interdisciplinary research on optical and electronic devices, such as photovoltaics, light-emitting diodes, displays, photo-sensors and wearable devices. The project will also involve advanced semiconductor materials and micro-fabrication techniques. The project has close links with the technology industry, and the candidate will have the opportunity to work with high-tech device manufacturers. 

Qualifications

The candidate for the research assistant position should have a Bachelor degree in relevant scientific/engineering disciplines with some basic experience in research and development. All candidates should preferably have keen interest in device and materials research. Candidates who have prior experience in micro-fabrication, optics and electronics are preferred. Candidates should preferably have a good theoretical understanding of device physics, semiconductor materials, and spectroscopy.
