Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.: 502622), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research in psychology, social sciences, public health, sociology, statistics or related disciplines, with an excellent publication track record. They should have a strong quantitative background, relevant post-doctoral experience in conducting and managing community research and clinical studies, and demonstrated expertise in the analysis of datasets. They should also have the ability to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the ability to collaborate with external parties including academics and social service groups, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
The appointee will participate in an ethnic minority mental health pilot project with an aim to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health counselling for the ethnic minority in the Hong Kong community. He/She will manage the evaluation component of the project, liaise with project sites for data acquisition, write academic papers, train and supervise research staff, and perform other duties as assigned.
