Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonology, is searching for a full-time Clinical Associate. The appointee will focus on clinical activity of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings including the University of Chicago Comer Children's ambulatory clinic and offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. The appointee will be a collaborative physician who will be positioned to succeed in a busy, dynamic urban environment and advance the clinical goals of the Section of Pulmonology. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.
The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe. The Pediatric Emergency Department, the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center on the south side of Chicago, treats approximately 32,000 patients per year.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology training program, 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, and 5) have bronchoscopy experience.
