Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health, is searching for a full-time infectious diseases specialist with experience or training in transplant infectious diseases for appointment as an assistant professor. The appointee will have a mix of outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities primarily at our Hyde Park campus, and potentially at our Chicagoland area network locations. Other duties will include clinical research with an emphasis on participating in clinical trials with translational and correlative components, and the teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:

  1. have a medical doctorate or equivalent,
  2. hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and
  3. be BC/BE in Infectious Diseases.
