Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology, and the Comprehensive Cancer Research Center are searching for an assistant professor to join a clinical research team, including other investigators, research nurses and research staff, and be tasked with initiation and oversight of multiple early (principally phase I or II) clinical trials. They will work intimately with other Developmental Therapeutics investigators as well as colleagues in other disease groups to complete and successfully report on these trials. Clinical responsibilities will include outpatient clinics and inpatient. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) will be dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be BC/BE in Hematology and/or Oncology, and 4) have a developed interest in early-stage clinical research and be able to demonstrate successful implementation of clinical research protocol(s).
