The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position Assistant professor at the Department of Public Health of the Faculty of Medicine MU
(with shorter working hours)

The Department of Public Health is an educational and research workplace of the Medical Faculty of MU. Provides teaching of students in theoretical and preclinical fields. (can be added)

The call is open especially for junior researchers which are currently studying in Ph.D. study programs in the field of Public Health or in the field related to the Public Health, or are considering staring a Ph.D. studies soon. We are interested in attracting colleagues who are willing to work part-time (preferably 4-16 hours per week) on the current research and teaching activities of the Department or even start their research activities at the Department. We expect to start cooperation with 2-4 new colleagues.

The scope of your work will be:

  • participation in theoretical and practical teaching at the workplace
  • preparation of the study and teaching materials
  • involvement in research and development activities, including the publication and presentation of research results
  • share in the organizational provision of research and pedagogical activities, incl. related administration

Required qualification:

  • Completed university education in the field relevant for Public Health (with the title MsD, MD, MDD, MPH), or equivalent education attained abroad
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Active approach, initiative and willingness for further education
  • Moral integrity

We prefer:

  • Professional experience in the given field, teaching experience
  • Capability of independent professional and research work including publishing activities
  • Capability to actively participate at an international conference or professional seminar
  • Analytical thinking
  • Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
