The Academic Coordinator (Data Collection and Analysis) in the Electrical and Systems Engineering (ESE) department in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) will be a key member of the ESE team, creating materials and process infrastructure for managing key academic processes such as rostering, accreditation, academic waitlists, data collection and analysis to inform and support strategic goals of the department.
In close collaboration with the Department Chair and Associate Director, the Academic Coordinator (Data Collection and Analysis) will manage all data collection and analysis, as well as the implementation of strategic changes based on what the data reveals. This position will be responsible for defining relevant data points, creating appropriate tools to collect both quantitative and qualitative data, analysis of the data and the dissemination of insight to stakeholders. Create appropriate databases, such as spreadsheets; access databases and develop other tools with consultants/partners, as needed. Create tools such as best practices documents and other print or online materials to provide efficient and sustainable methods of communications to students and faculty. Support the departmental website and updates, as needed.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with data collection, analysis, and interpretation and the ability to create databases and spreadsheets. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; strong attention to detail; and strong organizational skills.
