ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL SERVICES-HOUSING ASSIGNMENTS AND TECHNOLOGY, Housing and Residential Services (HRS), to provide support for students, staff, and faculty living on-campus and facilitate on-campus undergraduate, graduate, and family housing assignments. HRS supports a variety of distinctive residential communities and partners closely with the faculty and student leadership in the houses to provide a high quality residential experience. Will provide expertise, guidance, and innovation in the general execution of all undergraduate and graduate housing allocation processes, waiting lists, and databases; supervise three assignments associates; work with the assignments team to ensure that housing assignment processes are carried out effectively through strong partnerships and collaboration with the houses; be responsible for the general development and operational support of the Housing Management System in partnership with the associate director of business systems operations; play a dedicated role in the marketing and assessment of both undergraduate and graduate housing assignments to help meet occupancy targets and provide a positive experience for students seeking housing at MIT; and build partnerships with faculty, staff, students, and departments in order to increase the visibility and value of undergraduate and graduate housing at MIT.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience in a housing/residence life setting that included experience with on-campus housing assignments and database management; supervisory experience; demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills for dealing with students, faculty, and staff; strong organizational and follow-through skills; attention to detail; proficiency with computers and database software, including the ability to present information and analyze data; initiative; and ability work under pressure.  

PREFERREDmaster's degree in higher education/student personnel administration or related field.  Job #19155-7

Position requires some evening and weekend work and additional hours during peak seasons. 

Salary range:  $56,600-75,000
