starting as soon as possible. The position is limited until 30.11.2024 with the possibility to extend if suitable. The period of employment is governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz-WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. habilitation thesis).

Tasks: Within the framework of a research project you will take on the role of project leader. In addition to being responsible for your staff, you will also be responsible for the coordination and supervision of the work packages. You will ensure the achievement of objectives and, if necessary, develop control measures. In doing so, you will support the work package editors as a technical contact person. The research project is concerned with the description, networking and marketing of encapsulated AI methods for use in production-related environments for small and medium-sized enterprises. A special focus is put on energy efficiency. You will also be responsible for communication with the project partners involved. The research results will be coordinated with the project partners from industry and science and published at international conferences and in recognized scientific journals.

Requirements: Above average university and PhD degree in the field of computer science, information systems engineering, electrical engineering, process informatics or related fields. You should have an enthusiasm for new challenges in computer science aspect related to industry. This requires solid knowledge in information modeling, AI methods, software architecture and software development. As well as very good programming skills in common languages, especially object orientation and design patterns should not be foreign. Experience in continuous interaction and development completes your profile. Experience in leadership desirable. An independent, goal- and solution-oriented way of working and inter- and multidisciplinary thinking as well as a confident command of the English and German language in spoken and written.
