Applicants are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.:502910), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry with related background in material science and technology. They should have good knowledge of, and extensive experience in chemical synthesis and characterization using NMR, MS, and HPLC. Those with experience in synthesis and analysis of polymers would have an advantage. Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility, proficiency in written and spoken English, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The appointee will be engaged in the development of bio-adhesive polymers for manipulation of biomolecular functions under the supervision of Dr. Kou Okuro. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
