MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST, MIT Medical, to perform routine clinical laboratory and special tests.  Will use independent judgment and evaluation while ensuring the maintenance of high quality laboratory testing by supporting policies and actions that are consistent with MIT Medical’s mission and goals.   

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  a B.S. in medical technology, biology, or chemistry; at least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory; certification in ASCP, NCA, or the equivalent; excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills; and attention to accuracy and detail.  Seek someone who has proven skill fostering teamwork and proactively taking on challenges.  Must be able to comply with established risk management and safety procedures and with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations; demonstrate sound judgment; and prioritize and see tasks through to completion in a complex and busy environment.  

PREFERRED:  experience working in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, phlebotomy, and specimen processing; and experience directly interfacing with patients. Job #18873-6

The schedule for the position is primarily days Monday through Friday with a rotation that includes working Saturdays and an occasional Sunday.
