Applications are invited for the post of Student Administration Senior Officer (Extenuating Circumstances and Extensions) in Student Administration Operations within the Academic Services Directorate

Student Administration is responsible for delivering the core administrative functions involved in the student lifecycle, from Enrolment to Graduation. The department is focused on delivering an excellent student experience by developing and delivering effective and efficient processes to support students through their journey at the College

Extenuating Circumstances and Extensions are activities in the Assessment and Graduation Team. The Student Administration Senior Officer will be responsible for the continuing development and operational coordination of these processes in the team which enable students to notify the College of circumstances that might affect their ability to complete necessary assessments. The Senior Officer will also support other key activities in the team.

Candidates for this post should have excellent IT skills, an adaptable approach and an ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. They should also be committed to contributing to the continual development and provision of a high quality service to students and staff. Previous experience working in HE, an understanding of the principles of Equality and Diversity, including knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Equality Act 2010 and the current Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA) guidelines surrounding mitigation for students would be highly desirable.
